A Philadelphia judge issued a “gag order” in the trial of Pennsylvania abortionist Kermit Gosnell, who could face the death penalty if convicted on multiple murder charges for allegedly delivering viable children, killing them with scissors outside of the womb, and then keeping severed body parts as souvenirs and trophies at what prosecutors described as his “house of horrors” abortion clinic. 

A federal judge sentenced a group of five anti-nuclear weapons protesters — two elderly priests, an 84-year-old nun, a retired teacher, and a 61-year-old social worker — to prison after they admitted to breaking into a U.S. naval base to hang banners and pray.   

A former top official with the SEIU was allegedly caught on tape during a March 19 forum describing a union-led plot to “destabilize” the country, bring down capitalism, crash the stock market and destroy the American economy for the purpose of redistributing wealth. Commentators are already referring to the alleged conspiracy as a plan for “economic terrorism” as the uproar continues to grow.

As Wisconsin private-sector workers went to work and paid their taxes last week, thousands of government-school teachers lied and called in sick so they could attend protests in Madison against Gov. Scott Walker’s proposal to rein in the state’s multi-billion-dollar budget deficit.

An operation run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) known as Project Gunrunner has been implicated, albeit indirectly so far, in the December 2010 murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry by alleged bandits in Arizona, reports the president of the Law Enforcement Officers Advocates Council Andy Ramirez in a new piece for the Liberty News Network. Now, Agent Terry’s family wants answers and the Justice Department is apparently engaged in what critics are calling a “cover up.”

A bill to protect pregnant women and their unborn children introduced in the South Dakota legislature was set aside, temporarily at least, on February 17 after critics and pro-abortion groups created an uproar claiming it could have legalized the killing of abortionists.

Outside a court hearing for the so-called “Underwear Bomber,” an attorney who was on board the targeted plane renewed a series of shocking accusations, claiming the U.S. federal government was behind the whole plot.

After a mass shooting in Tucson, Arizona, left at least six dead and more than a dozen wounded, including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), the politicization of the tragedy has already begun. And despite an absence of much concrete information on the shooter’s motives — who at this point appears to be a deranged leftist — efforts to demonize the Second Amendment and conservatives in general are already taking flight.

A six-month investigation by USA Today uncovered a pattern of “serious, glaring misconduct” among federal prosecutors, whose abuses have resulted in innocent citizens being put in prison and countless wasted tax dollars, the paper revealed late last week. The probe is grabbing headlines and making waves across the country.

A report by the Justice Department’s Inspector General blasted the Federal Bureau of Investigation for lying and spying on anti-war activists, animal-rights groups, and environmentalists, calling the improper “terror” investigations "unreasonable and inconsistent with FBI policy."
