A new mass of humanity is moving across the U.S. border with Mexico. Illegal-alien Indians, many of them Sikhs, are coming to the the United States, the Associated Press reported on Sunday, because it elevates their social status back home. They will account for 33 percent of the illegals caught trying to cross the border.

So border officials now contend not only with Mexican revanchists and drug traffickers but also Indians from the Punjab and Gujarat, who are using dangerous smugglers to get them across the border into Texas.

Federal and state governments are granting de facto U.S. citizenship to the children of foreign diplomats, trespassing the clear intent of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

That’s the latest from the Center for Immigration Studies in its backgrounder, “Birthright Citizenship for Children of Foreign Diplomats?”

California hospitals provide about $1.25 billion annually in uncompensated care for illegal aliens, a new report from the California Hospital Association says, with $26 million in Ventura County alone. That grim news appears in the Ventura County Star.

Sessions: DREAM Acters Lying About Bill

The reintroduced DREAM Act is worse than the original that was defeated in 2010, Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions says, noting that most of what people think about the idea is false.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) the leftist majority leader from the President’s corrupt home state, believes the United States may soon abandon the Constitution’s requirement that the President be a natural-born citizen of the United States.

The director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement has made official the Obama administration’s declaration that the DREAM Act — the amnesty bill for illegal aliens — is now federal law, despite the bill’s having failed in the Senate last year.

South Carolina is the latest state to join the growing list of those fighting illegal immigration. The state legislature has sent a bill to Gov. Nikki Haley (pictured, whose parents are legal immigrants from Amritsar, Punjab, India) — whose spokesman has confirmed she will sign it — to begin the kind of crackdown envisioned in Texas, Georgia, and Alabama.

Unsurprisingly, leftists are in a rage, and the traditional coalition of lawyers have threatened a lawsuit, alleging racism.

American Catholic bishops, equating socialism with true Christian charity, have long been allies of the radical Left in its plans to socialize the American economy. Now they wish to alter the demographic landscape of the United States with unfettered immigration, and are encouraging Catholics to help undermine the effort to ensure that foreign workers are legally employed in the United States.

Leftist New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg (pictured) says U.S. immigration policy is “national suicide.”

But Bloomberg did not mean the de facto policy of open borders that permits anyone, legally or no, to enter the country. Instead, he believes — against all evidence — that the United States must admit more immigrants.

Texas has joined Georgia, Alabama, Arizona, and host of other states in the battle against illegal immigration, and illegal alien activists are just an angry in the Lone Star State as they are in the others.

The state Senate has passed a law that permits police to question the immigration status of arrestees and those they legally detain. And, importantly, cities in Texas will no longer be permitted to establish themselves as sanctuaries for illegal aliens.
