Suspected Ft. Hood gunman Army Major Nidal Hasan attempted to contact suspected al-Qaeda collaborators, and the Army may have known about it for months.This is the alarming story being reported today by ABC news. According to the account published on abcnews.com, intelligence officials familiar with the classified details of the investigation confirmed to reporters that Hasan was known to be using “electronic means” to contact radical Islamists sympathetic to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

Obama Creates New Interrogation Unit

detainee at GuantanamoIn an effort to distance himself from the much-criticized interrogation methods used by the Bush administration and its agents, President Barack Obama has ordered the formation of a new interrogation group to handle the obtaining of information from detainees believed to possess intelligence critical to the security of the United States.

The issue of death panels will not go away. In a story published recently by The New American, it was revealed that in his budget proposal, President Obama all but explicitly endorsed the concept as part of his plan to cut federal spending.

Tea Party darling Representative Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) recently stated that she was satisfied with President Obama’s certificate of live birth. During an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopolous, Rep. Bachmann declared that the so-called “birther” issue was “over” and that the controversy was settled.

“A go-along, get-along Republican” who “doesn’t have stomach for a fight.” Those were the words used by Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips to describe Speaker of the House John Boehner after Boehner cut a deal with Democrats to keep the federal government funded.

On Monday, the Democratic Attorney General of Missouri filed an amicus brief in one of the federal cases challenging the constitutionality of ObamaCare.

Texas lawmakers are continuing their quest to prohibit Shariah law from being accepted as persuasive in any court in the Lone Star State. This includes any cultural considerations and implications of any foreign law or code, including the Islamic Shariah law.

The finger of Speaker of the House John Boehner is hovering over the power button of the federal government. Despite his posturing, those in the know report that he does not want to push it.
