Protests Planned for Bilderberg Meeting

As reported this week by The New American, the Bilderbergers are rumored to be returning to Virginia at the end of the month. Reports indicate that the globalist group will be meeting in Chantilly, Virginia from May 31 to June 3 at the Marriott Westfields Washington Dulles Hotel and Conference Center. But the Bilderbergers will not be alone; they will be followed by an organized opposition group that intends to expose the Bilderbergers and their insidious agenda.

OccupyBilderberg.org explains, “Occupy the REAL 1% (closer to 0.01%) -> In the year 2012, Truth Exposed Radio, WeAreChange San Antonio, and FunkMasterFive are uniting activist groups from around the world to finally expose the Bilderberg Group in Chantilly, Virginia, May 31 until June 3.”

The Occupy Bilderberg 2012 Facebook page shows that nearly 500 people have agreed to attend the protest against the Bildgerberg group, while almost 350 have responded that they are considering it. Almost 17,000 people have received invites overall.

Chantilly, Virginia, is where the Bilderbergers have held their last two U.S. conferences in 2002 and 2008, the latter having drawn a significant number of protesters as well.

Alternative media outlets across the web are calling upon informed individuals to protest outside the Bilderbergers’ meeting at the end of May and voice their opposition to the Bilderberg agenda. War is Crime, for example, writes:

The oil cartels, banking interests, heads of state and even a majority of the major corporation who are on board with CISPA will be represented at this meeting. If there was ever a chance to point out every heard on the hydra in one protest, this is it.

Those affiliated with the Occupy Wall Street protests and the NATO Summit protests have already received invitations to attend the Bilderberger protests, reports Russia Today.

Controversial radio host Alex Jones was thrown out of the 2008 Bilderberg conference and called upon the OWS protests to fill the streets of Chantilly in opposition to the Bilderberg presence.

Groups are already organizing car pools to be part of the protests, including car pools from the NATO Summit protest in Chicago to Chantilly, Virginia.

Last year’s St. Moritz Bilderberg conference was relatively quiet as a result of a media blackout of the event, but this year, alternative media outlets are calling upon their readers and listeners to make their presence known.

In 2008, the media also successfully blacked out the Bilderberg conference, but the media’s concerted efforts to do so should come as no surprise. A number of corporate media elites have attended Bilderberg meetings, including neoconservative William F. Buckley, Jr., Robert Bartley of the Wall Street Journal, Peter Jennings of ABC News, and Thomas Friedman of the New York Times.

Though the Bilderberg group has described itself as a “small, flexible, informal and off-the-record international forum in which different viewpoints can be expressed and mutual understanding enhanced,” it is widely accepted as a highly secretive and influential organization of globalists.

The Bilderbergers-comprised of powerful individuals from a plethora of industries including banking, politics, business and academia-have long favored secrecy and utmost privacy, and have done their best to stay out of the spotlight. But in more recent years, they have been acknowledged, though just barely, in the mainstream media, and more importantly, have been exposed by increasing numbers of protesters, prompting the Bilderbergers to feel compelled to shed some of that secrecy and set up a website and issue an annual press release.

Still, despite the existence of the website and yearly press release, most of the Bilderberg group’s agenda is highly secretive, which is actually in violation of the Logan Act in the United States-a law that bars American citizens and representatives of foreign governments from conducting business in secret.

And regardless of the Bilderberg group’s own claims that it is merely a “talking shop,” it has been well-established by investigative sources that the group is in fact responsible for the implementation of national and geopolitical policies.

For example, Bilderberg chairman Etienne Davignon was caught bragging in 2009 that the Euro single currency was actually a recommendation of the Bilderberg group.

“A meeting in June in Europe of the Bilderberg Group- an informal club of leading politicians, businessmen and thinkers chaired by Mr. Davignon- could also ‘improve understanding’ on future action, in the same way it helped create the Euro in the 1990s, he said,” reported the EU Observer in March 2009.

The Bilderberg’s leaked documents prove that the notion of the Euro single currency was laid out by the Bilderbergers in the mid-1950s. A 2003 BBC investigative team confirmed this. And we all know how well the Euro is doing.

Further proof of the Bilderberg group’s influence came in the spring of 2002, when the Bilderbergers asked the Bush administration to delay its summer invasion of Iraq, which it did. The attack on Iraq was not launched until March 2003.

Journalists who were privy to Bilderberg information reported in 2006 that the United States housing market would soar before the bubble would pop, and history reveals that is just what happened.

The Bilderberg group is also credited with handpicking candidates for positions of power. In the United States, the Bilderbergers have played significant roles in the choice of vice presidential candidates. Joe Biden was selected as President Obama’s running mate after heavy campaigning by Bilderberg luminary James Johnson, while John Kerry’s 2004 running mate, John Edwards, was anointed by the Bilderberg group after he gave a speech at a 2004 Bilderberg conference.

Washington Post columnist Al Kamen wrote an article last month wherein he implied that Rubio was the preferred choice of the globalist Bilderberg group, which reportedly has been given a significant role in picking Romney’s VP.

The Bilderberg group has a history of influencing the selection of vice presidential candidates. In 2008, former Fannie Mae CEO and Bilderberg member Jim Johnson was asked by President Obama to recommend his running mate. Johnson was apparently also prominent in the decision to choose Jonathan Edwards as John Kerry’s running mate in 2004.

The Bilderberg seems to play a significant role in the entire presidential election process in general. In June of 2008, for example, the press lost track of the whereabouts of both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in Northern Virginia, where a Bilderberg group was “coincidentally” hosting a meeting.

Dulles airport was just a few miles from the Westfields Marriott hotel where Henry Kissinger, David Rockerfeller, and a number of other Bilderberg globalists were meeting.

When reporters questioned Obama’s spokesman Robert Gibbs about Obama’s whereabouts, Gibbs just smiled and declined to comment.

In 2009, Politico’s Ken Vogel reported that Obama’s officials were delivering private meetings to Bilderberg members in Greece. Vogel reported:

A handful of high-ranking Obama administration officials this month delivered private briefings at the annual invitation-only conference held by an elite international organization known as the Bilderberg group.

The closed meeting of some of the most powerful business, media and political leaders in North America and Western Europe heard from top Obama diplomats James Steinberg and Richard Holbrooke, who detailed the administration’s foreign policy, while economic adviser Paul Volcker, chairman of President Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board, also gave a presentation at the heavily guarded seaside resort in Greece that hosted the event.

They have the same sort of influence in Europe as well. Even after British Prime Minister Tony Blair was announced as the choice for the first European Union President, Belgium’s former Prime Minister, Herman Van Rompuy, was picked for the role just days after appearing at a Bilderberg group dinner meeting.

Items that are expected to be discussed at the Chantilly, Virginia, meeting include the coming war in Iran, Internet censorship, Agenda 21, the climate change agenda, and more.
