While abortion is justified with the battle cry “My body, my choice!” it is in reality a matter of what will happen to a body within the chooser’s body. Another example of this leftist tendency to confuse bodies as much as choices is the ObamaCare contraception mandate.
If it’s so dangerous to identify homes that are “gun-free” zones, why do we do it to our schools? Unlike private residences, a criminal can actually bank on a school being gun free and thus soft-target rich. And we not only ensure this is the case, we, incredibly, announce it to the world.
The gospel of Matthew (26:52) tells us that Jesus rebuked Peter, saying, “Put up again thy sword into its place: for all that take the sword shall perish with the sword.” Quite a pacifist message, huh? Yet Peter only had a sword to draw because he had one on his person — and Jesus obviously took no issue with this.
In an article published by the Chinese government media outlet Xinhua, the Beijing regime calls on the Obama administration to use the Sandy Hook massacre as a pretext for more gun control.
This is the piece that will never be published. Haven’t you heard? The world’s going to end on December 21.
End-of-the-world hysteria is rather interesting. The Argentine government has restricted access to a mountain over a mass “spiritual suicide” threat associated with it, and the Chinese regime has responded to a doomsday cult by staying true to form: It arrested people. And all this based upon an interpretation of the Mayan calendar that predicts a Winter Solstice apocalypse.
It has been said that to identify a liar, look for contradiction, because it’s hard keeping lies straight.
It’s no revelation that leftists would like to effect gun confiscation (except for themselves and their bodyguards, of course), but they generally maintain plausible deniability so that the world’s Dirty Harry Reids can convince the flyover-country bitter clingers that they believe in the Second Amendment. And they certainly do — the way the Devil believes in God. Nonetheless, leftists sometimes tip their hand, and such is the case with a recent New York Post editorial.
In the wake of the tragic Newtown massacre, we’re hearing all the usual lies and misconceptions about firearms. And since it’s wise to be educated on a topic before advocating policy on it, this is a good time to explode the gun myths being bandied about.
If there’s anything the Newtown massacre has proven, it’s that school zones billed as “gun-free” cannot be guaranteed to thus be.
They’re only virtually certain to be good-guy-gun-free.
Providing another example of why judicial review needs to be reviewed is U.S. District Court Judge James C. Fox, who just ruled that North Carolina may not offer its “Choose Life” license plates. And wait till you hear his reasoning (if you can call it that).
Students at Capital High School (CHS) in Charleston, West Virginia, have been regularly forced to stand during the playing of a song known as “The Black National Anthem.”
The song, “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” was played in the morning right after the American national anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance, and students were forced to stand for all three.
