House Republicans vowing to reform a number of items are turning their attention to the United Nations, preparing to continue an already long-raging battle on Capitol Hill over the financial cost of American involvement in the organization. As it stands now, the United States finances about 22 percent of the total budget of the United Nations.

A report by the Pew Research Center's Forum on Religion and Public Life indicates that religious harassment is on the rise across the world. According to the findings, people of faith have been under increasing attack by their government, and social hostilities toward them have escalated as well.

A controversial website advertisement for the preppy clothing store J. Crew features a mother painting her son’s toenails a shade of neon pink. The woman in the advertisement is in fact the creative director of J.Crew, Jenna Lyons.

As Americans witness the slow but steady stripping of their individual rights by the growing government Leviathan, some are unwilling to sit idly by and meekly allow the encroachments to continue unabated. The pro-life group Live Action may have uncovered evidence that refutes Planned Parenthood’s claims that it provides vital health services such as breast exams and mammograms to women — claims that Planned Parenthood puts forth each time lawmakers consider pulling its federal funding.

New York City residents were likely surprised by the pro-life billboard recently placed in the busy Soho neighborhood of Manhattan by the pro-life group Life Always, particularly because of its bold message. Depicting a young black girl, the billboard read, “The most dangerous place for an African-American is in the womb.”

While award shows like the Oscars and the Golden Globes acquire all of the media hype, the Faith and Values Movieguide Awards are beginning to gain more traction in some Hollywood circles. Dubbed the “Christian Oscars,” the Faith and Values Movieguide Awards celebrate films that espouse uplifting, inspirational, patriotic and spiritual elements. Held at the Universal Hilton Hotel on Friday, February 18, the 19th Annual Faith and Values Awards Gala handed out a number of awards to family-friendly films.
