CISPA Reportedly Dead — for Now

Senate sources report that CISPA (the controversial Cyber Information Sharing and Protection Act) likely will not come up for a vote this year.

 

 

Governor Rick Scott of Florida has signed into law a bill strictly regulating the use of drones by law enforcement in the Sunshine State.

At a Senate subcommittee hearing, a young Yemeni man testified of the devastating psychological and physical effects of the U.S. drone war in his homeland.

Despite recent reports, Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) is consistent in his defense of due process and the justifiable use of drones in law enforcement.

Several family-run businesses owned by people of faith have successfully defended their right to freely exercise their religion against attack by the Obama administration.

CISPA Supporters Outspent Opponents 38 to 1

According to research, CISPA supporters spent $605 million convincing congressmen to vote for the bill, outspending opponents 38 to one.

Both houses of the Florida state legislature have passed a bill protecting citizens’ rights guaranteed by the Fourth Amendment from being abrogated by drones.

The Missouri state House of Representatives passed the Second Amendment Preservation Act, a bill nullifying any attempts by the federal government to infringe on citizens' right to keep and bear arms.

The Michigan House of Representatives unanimously passed a bill nullifying the enforcement of indefinite detention within their state boundaries.

At a speech at the National Press Club the director of the White House Office of National Drug Policy declared that states could not nullify federal drug laws.
