And They're Going to Do What? People should be outraged that the "privilege" to drive has been turned into a government registration process where our photos are being stored for uses like this. I'm sure biometric data will be in the near future. EPIC and the ACLU need to be getting involved in this issue and making it visible. I would donate money specifically to this cause. |

... The very BASIC problem I have with the idea of a "driver's license",is that it is NOTHING BUT A TAX. I can NOT call it a "privelege to drive", that's typical of what a government would call it(double talk) .....Along with that idea is also the TAX in the form of a LICENSE PLATE on every auto, before it can be operated on the highways, and in some states, like Taxylvania, there is an "inspection fee"(in the name of safety)....If you believe government gave you the right to drive, then they can easily take it away when they rescind your license, and you won't complain too much.Lately I learned there is a license plate required in some states (Taxsylvania again, for example) on a sport vehicle for off road use, in a DANG WOODS? (don't even get me STARTED on boat licenses). When the country was new and sane, did the horse operators carry driver's licences? Do the Amish need operator's permits? How do you inspect brakes on a horse? Hey, buddy, you better get them there oxen inspected, or you won't be a drivin' 'em in this here state! Sound stupid? Yes, it does, because it is.....Since God gave us the smarts to invent things like automobiles, etc, I think he also gave us the ability to drive them (to reap the rewards of our efforts).....why does government think they have to give us "permission"? For another way to steal our money legally,is the only correct answer, I think. |

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is now able to scan millions of driver’s licenses using facial recognition technology as they seek to track down fugitives.
