climateAmericans have become much more skeptical of global warming prognoses over the past year, according to a study by The Pew Research Center for the People & the Press released October 23. The percentage of Americans who believe there's solid evidence that the Earth is warming has plummeted from 77 percent to 57 percent since April 2008, the study revealed. And those who believe that global warming is a very serious problem fell during the same period from 44 percent to 35 percent.

Phelim McAleerOn Sunday, October 18, the global-warming exposé Not Evil, Just Wrong premiered in more than 7,000 locations in the United States, and co-producer Phelim McAleer is encouraged by the results. Some premier events were family-and-friends-type gatherings, while others — such as one in Arizona — had more than 600 attendees. Statistics are still coming in, and it will be some time before a final count is known.

Global-warming alarmists are gearing up for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in December with increasingly threatening tales of pending eco-disaster. The latest of these comes in the form of a Reuters article that predicts "the Arctic Ocean will be ice-free during the summer within twenty years."

GatesMicrosoft founder Bill Gates said on October 15 that environmentalists who are adamantly opposed to using genetically modified crops in Africa are hindering efforts to end hunger on that continent.
