A study by the Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism has concluded that the mainstream media are smearing GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney. The Center’s analysis of the media’s “narrative” on Romney shows that the reporting has portrayed him as a “vulture capitalist," as a super PAC campaign ad says, who grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth and cannot understand what it’s like to pay bills.

The Republican Party’s platform for 2012 is taking shape this week, and according to National Journal, it calls for a guest-worker program, a plank that mirrors one adopted by Republicans in Texas early this summer.

The platform is also pro-life and anti-homosexual marriage, which has angered the pro-abortion left.

Nearly 150,000 illegal-alien criminals are in American jails or on American streets, a U.S. congressman says. And those roaming American cities and towns are there thanks to a U.S. Supreme Court decision that forbids the government from indefinitely incarcerating the criminals if the United States cannot deport them after their sentences are over.

Millions of illegal aliens queued up across the country on Wednesday to get papers to stay in the country.

The illegals, almost all of them from either Mexico or other Hispanic nations, got into line to apply for President Obama’s “youth amnesty.” That policy, announced in June, essentially established the DREAM Act as federal law, even though the act failed in the Senate in December 2010.

Although Obama set out a list of DREAM-like criteria for “young” illegals, the day before the amnesty began the administration began loosening the rules so that they applied to just about any young and illegal immigrant.

Illegal immigrants lined up in droves on August 15 to apply for Deferred Action Childhood Arrivals, President Obama’s youth amnesty, but the number who will apply may be well more than double the first estimate.

The New York Times reported on Monday that 1.7 million illegal immigrant “youths” will likely apply for the amnesty and, then, to get work permits.

The program, two Republican legislators say in a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, is likely to be rife with fraud because the government has not erected the necessary barriers to ensure that all the “youths” who apply for the amnesty are eligible for it.

Woman Sues Connecticut Town for Discrimination

Winchester, Connecticut — a town that is 94.5 percent white — has been sued because it allegedly refused to provide low-income housing to Crystal Carter, a single black mother with six children.

Illegal aliens are largely poor and uneducated and a drain on the welfare and public education systems, a survey from the Center for Immigration Studies shows.

“Immigrants in the United States: A Profile of America’s Foreign-Born Population” paints a startling picture of the nearly 11 million illegals and their children.

The latest survey of immigrants to the United States shows their numbers increased massively under the last two presidents, reaching a record high in 2010. That’s just one of the trends noted in “Immigrants in the United States: A Profile of America’s Foreign-Born Population,” published by the Center for Immigration Studies. CIS gathered its data from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey. Those data show that immigrants from the Third World are swamping the United States and its public institutions.

"Many social and personality psychologists admit that they would discriminate against openly conservative colleagues,” according to a study to be published next month by two psychologists, the Washington Times reported last week.

The psychologists who were questioned in the study admitted that they would openly attempt to keep conservative colleagues from teaching at a university or publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Obama Extends Amnesty to Homosexuals

The Department of Homeland Security will extend the president’s order to halt deportation of illegals to homosexuals if they have “family ties,” the agency announced last week. The move to protect what are now called “LGBT” (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) immigrants came after seven dozen Democrats went to bat for these illegals.

The move is yet another step toward total dissolution of American borders, and a continuation of the Obama administration's legal and political war against those who wish to stop illegals from crossing the border. Just weeks ago, President Obama unilaterally offered an amnesty to “young” illegals who are, he claims, for all intents and purposes, “Americans.”
