Dr. Kimberly Lindsey (left), 44, director of the Centers for Disease Control’s Laboratory Science Policy and Practice Office, has been charged with child molestation and bestiality. Her live-in boyfriend at their Decatur, Georgia home, Thomas Westerman, 42, was charged with child molestation. The two turned themselves in on Sunday, October 9 after they learned warrants had been issued for their arrests, police told ABC News.

Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, is one of the most important Muslim religious holidays.  As a celebration of that holiday, 3,000 Muslims went to Playland Amusement Park in Rye, New York. When staff at the park insisted that women who rode rides at the park could not wear the hijab — the traditional head covering that the majority of Muslim women are enjoined to use — the result was a brawl that required police from nine different agencies to converge on the park in order to restore peace. About 100 officers were required to handle the disturbance, which involved 30 to 40 people, 13 of whom were arrested by the police. 

While the ACLU worries about whether a Christmas decoration in the public library or a moment of silent prayer in school violates the First Amendment, other non-Christian nations have no trouble at all with combining religion and government. The notion that a “separation of church and state” is indispensable to civil liberty would have flabbergasted the Founding Fathers. In fact, when the Constitution was adopted, about half of the original states had a “state” religion. Eventually all of these states were disestablished (the “state” religion status was ended) but this had absolutely nothing to do with the First Amendment, whose clear words collectivists always seem unable to read:  “Congress shall make no law….” is how that amendment begins. Congress did not mean state legislatures. 

Those who fancy that man is God make many assumptions about human "divinity." Yet man is little closer to predicting the course of volcanoes than when Vesuvius destroyed Pompeii. How successful is cloud-seeding to end devastating droughts? Could the President have told the nation that the levees along the Mississippi were going to break? No. The greatest computers used by the most sophisticated minds in the world cannot predict exactly what the weather will be like on July 4, 2012. The earth has experienced cycles of temperature change since the dawn of time, as variables such as solar sunspots affect the different levels of energy that reach our planet.

All over the world, Christians are persecuted for their faith. The murder of Coptic Christians in Egypt and the protests of radical Muslims against the appointment of a Christian Governor of an Egyptian province are recent examples of that oppression.

Ann Coulter once wrote that the cure for Islamic terrorism was Christianity. This politically incorrect statement drew condemnation from many corners of established elitism. Forcible conversion to Christianity, of course, is not real conversion and it is certain that Ann did not sincerely intend such deeds. But there is another aspect to the modern situation of Christians (and also of Jews) that we need to grasp in order to understand the hellishness of much of the life of mankind: Christianity is under violent, bigoted attack throughout much of the world.

Tornadoes wreaked havoc in Oklahoma and Arkansas, killing several people. This is the sort of very real human tragedy that is not suspect to free and thinking minds. Human life, indeed, human history has been full of disasters that destroy property and kill people.

The Mount Soledad Cross was dedicated at a San Diego park on Easter Sunday in 1954 to honor veterans of the Korean War. Atheist Phillip Paulson, along with a Jewish war veterans group, has been trying to have the cross removed since 1989.

Five more top officials with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer charity have resigned, in the continuing turmoil surrounding the foundation's decision earlier this year to cut funding to Planned Parenthood following strong pressure from pro-life groups. That funding to the nation's largest abortion provider — almost $700,000 last year — was restored three days later. Now three top executives have stepped down from their posts at Komen's Dallas headquarters, as well as two CEOs of the state organizations in New York and Oregon. 

LifeSiteNews reports that Amy Schalet (left), an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, made a presentation to Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernadino counties (California), suggesting that American parents should behave towards teenage sex more like the Dutch. Schalet grew up in the Netherlands, where drugs and sex laws are much laxer than in America. She says that 60 percent of teenage girls in the Netherlands use contraceptives and in the Netherlands, she said, parents allow their sons and daughters to have sex in their homes:
